Helping Your Congregation reCONNECT

In Fall 2008, a Hyde Park United Methodist team of members, clergy and staff created a seven-week churchwide experience of study, worship and renewal called “reCONNECT.” The goal was to “reconnect” people with God’s power through prayer, God’s presence in worship, God’s generosity in giving, and God’s transformation of the world through our service. We did that by engaging people in worship, small groups, fellowship events, and opportunities for witness and service. 

In May 2009, other churches can now experience “reCONNECT,” too.

The “reCONNECT” workbook for individual and group study and associated resources are now available through the United Methodist Publishing House, publisher and distributor to Christian clergy and laity. United Methodist Publishing is employing a unique approach utilizing electonic distribution rather than traditional printing.
