Two Services on Ash Wednesday
The season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 17, with two special worship service services: 12:15 p.m. in the Chapel and 6:30 p.m in the Sanctuary. Both services will include the traditional imposition of ashes. Ash Wednesday will also mark the beginning of our Lenten worship series, “Blessed,” which will explore The Beatitudes (Matthew 5:3-12).
Running to Make God's Love Real Saturday, Feb.27

- Running to Make God's Love Real 2009
Members of Hyde Park United Methodist will be visibly "Running to Make God's Love Real" during the Gasparilla Distance Classic race on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, observing an annual tradition of church outreach to the community.
Hyde Park members will be running in the day's races or cheering runners from along the route, clad in bright orange "Running to Make God's Love Real" t-shirts that invite others to "Follow me to Hyde Park United Methodist." The course for Saturday's races runs directly alongside the church, going west on Platt Street and turning south on Magnolia Avenue. The church provides uplifting music and encouragement for runners along that stretch of the course Saturday morning.
Sign up in the Courtyard on Sunday morning to participate or contact Bill Howard.
