The Small Blessings Early Childhood Center is a ministry of Hyde Park United Methodist. The weekday preschool serves children from two-to-five years of age. The school year is from September through May, and there is a summer program of approximately seven weeks during the months of June and July.

The curriculum is developmentally-based for each age level and includes experiences with hands-on activities, center play and exploration, arts and crafts, music, circle and story times, outdoor play and various enrichment activities. Christian education also is included through worship in the Chapel, music and Bible stories.

Small Blessings enjoys an established, well-respected reputation based on the following principles:

Class Offerings 2009-10

• Our regular school hours for all classes are 9 a.m. — 12:30 p.m.
• Young Two-Year-Olds (Age 2 by Sept. 1) — Tuesday and Thursday ($235/month)
• Mid-twos — Monday, Wednesday and Friday ($285 month)
• Older-Twos — Monday, Wednesday and Friday ($285 month) or Tuesday and Thursday ($235 month)
• Three-Year-Olds — Monday, Wednesday, and Friday or Tuesday, Thursday and Friday ($285 month)
• Three-Year-Olds — Five Days ($380 month)
• Four Pre-K — 4 day: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday ($340 month) or Five Days ($380 month) 

Registration Fee: $125
Supply and Activity Fee: $60 per semester

As a convenience, early drop off (8:30 a.m.) and extended day (12:30 — 2:30 p.m.) are available on a daily basis, most days. Before care $1.50/day and after care $12.00/day. The school year is from September through May. We also offer a summer program that is approximately seven weeks during the months of June and July. Scholarship money is available and will be granted through the Small Blessings church committee as determined by need.
