Hyde Park United Methodist is a community of people committed to Jesus Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, united in the love of God, and called to make that love real to others.

Prayer Ministries
Just as a shepherd cares for his flock, many members of Hyde Park are deeply involved in caring for others both within the church, and from a community outreach perspective. If you believe you have the Spiritual Gift of Caring for others, you are invited to sample the many initiatives under way that help to Make God's Love Real in our church.
Intercessory Prayer Team
This team of volunteers prays weekly for members, their families, friends and others who need intercessory prayer to help them through difficult times. The weekly list is provided electronically to team members. Contact Patty Dietz at email or phone 813. 254.3379.
Healing Prayer Team
Our Healing Prayer Team is available the first Sunday of each month in the Chapel following all worship services. They listen to and pray with people in need of spiritual, emotional, relational and physical healing. Contact Marilou Reed email or phone 813.792.7950.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
Prayer shawls are knit as a way of Making God’s Love Real for anyone needing to feel the warmth, love and comfort provided by the shawls. Each shawl and the person who will receive it is prayed for by the knitting group and is blessed by a pastor in a worship service. Contact Robin Fitzer email or phone 813.936.3235.
Bear Ministry
Members and guests may take a teddy bear from the pews of our sanctuary and chapel to someone in need of healing or a spiritual lift. More than 1500 bears have Made God's Love Real in this way. Contact Trish Krider email or phone 813.470.4616.
